A: Like The Two Towers extended version, the story of Faramir is shown in greater detail. There are returning characters and new characters, such as Saruman after the flooding of Isengard and the Mouth of Sauron at the Black Gate. Much of the new footage contains extra dialogue and action to further elaborate on each character’s personal journey.

What I would love to see is Legolas hearing the gulls. Yes, it would involve a bit of explanation of the sea-longing of the Elves, but it would be so worth it to give him a bit of character development.

Well, that does sound like something that would "further elaborate" Legolas' personal journey.

What I would like to see, is Legolas hearing me, and then him leaving and remembering that he is Aimee-longing and he comes and gets me and takes me away.

And then in ten years they can CGI in a younger, slimmer Radagast The Brown. And there can be the scene where Radagast shoots first.
