Wash: You want a slinky dress? I can buy you a slinky dress. Captain, can I have money for a slinky dress? Jayne: I'll chip in. Zoe: I can hurt you.

LotR - The Return of the King: "We named the *dog* 'Strider'".

Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"? Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Aragorn: I like "Strider." Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Link gacked (or however the hell you spell it) from someone on LJ Flist (who happens to be an university prof.): a TA channelling Gollum. It made me laugh and laugh.

I can't even.

Awesome link, Vonnie.

And this:

Thanks ever so

And I will confess to a certain fiendish glee in writing "You Shall not Pass!" on certain exams . . .

I would so do this.

I posted this over at the WX Ovies thread--according to the new US Weekly magazine, when Dom was in New Orleans for Mardi Gras, a buddy of his dared him to flash everyone, which he promptly did. Supposedly, he showed the full monty, which was even more impressive than usual since he was a bit, um, excited.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The top ten films for the weekend, according to studio estimates compiled by Exhibitor Relations: 1. The Passion of the Christ, $51.4 million; 2. Starsky & Hutch, $29.05 million; 3. Hidalgo, $19.6 million; 4. 50 First Dates, $7.7 million; 5. Twisted, $5 million; 6. Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, $4 million; 7. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, $3.2 million; 8. Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, $2.85 million; 9. Miracle, $2.6 million; 10. Monster, $2.25 million.

C'mon, fess up -- it was you guys, right?

Go PJ!

I didn't see RotK or Hidalgo this weekend. I feel like a bad fan. I was busy. I'll go this week, we promises.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

When will they pull it?

Not immediately after winning the Oscar. Besides it's still making money.

It'll probably be gone from the first-run theaters within a month, and then in the bargain theaters until the dvd comes out on 5/25. I just went last Monday, but I'll probably go see it again sometime this week.
