I don't know if you all have heard of this site,LotR Research, but apparently a UK research project is looking for people to fill out a questionnaire about the RotK film experience.
LotR - The Return of the King: "We named the *dog* 'Strider'".
Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"? Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Aragorn: I like "Strider." Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".
A discussion of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. If you're a pervy hobbit fancier, this is the place for you.
Lots of great FYC ads have finally been posted over at Oscarwatch.com.
"Caught in a web...soon you will be eaten."
Something new in this one. IIRC, isn't Pippin supposed to be looking over his new uniform here? Why is he in bed in the picture?
The numbers (my favorite one is "550 hours of behind-the-scenes footage shot on set"--they can produce DVD documentaries until kingdom come!)
I'm not sure is somebody linked to this before, but it bears repeating anyway.
Bwah!
eta: Slutting the year I was born! Sweet .
The cap in Kathy's fourth link is the RotK clip in my triptych frame from Trilogy Tuesday. Of course it's so tiny I never saw Pippin in bed--I barely made out Gandalf.
I want a pic of Billy Boyd in his kilt at the SAG awards. OMG how sweet he looked!!!
And the award for the best cast...how perfect!!!
Oh, oh, oh, Johnny Depp, congrats wherever you are!

OMG. That is too funny. Especially since they always joke about how people used to get them confused during the press for the first two movies. Ha. Ha. Poor Mippin.
Thanks for the links to the pictures. John Noble is almost completely unrecognizable from the movies. Amazing.
How much did I love Billy's grace and brevity after Sean's embarrassing grandstanding? I also loved Bernard Hill's little thank you to the "pyramid of folks who make possible what the actors do" speech, and John Rhys bumping Sean out of the way to introduce the mercifully brief-spoken Shea. And Billy!
I was okay with Sean's sentiment, but he should have gracefully acknowledged the first round of applause he got, and stepped aside for someone else to speak, in my opinion. "I do not doubt his heart," but "seizing the opportunity" to speak at length about other than the movie just seems thoughtless and rude.
