I'm stuck on the Pelennor Fields.
Wait till morning. Some guys show up with a bunch of horses.
Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"? Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Aragorn: I like "Strider." Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".
A discussion of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. If you're a pervy hobbit fancier, this is the place for you.

Was I the only one having a Hoth battle flashback during the fight against the big elephants, with riders of Rohan being the snowspeeders and the elephants the AT-ATs?
No. And Legolas totally did a Luke on that one big elephant with the one elf demolition job.
Love this picture of Aragorn and Anduril.
One of the TORN reports says that Royd Tolkien was one of the guys on beacon duty at Minas Tirith and that he was somewhere else too (can't remember where.)
And apparently Elijah Wood will be on the Daily Show tonight. Wonder what weird personal habits he'll reveal on that show?
Serial!
This was from TORN too:
Bloom & Mortensen on 'Hotties' List 1/07/04, 1:45 pm EST - Xoanon
Eowyn writes: Viggo Mortensen is #10 on VH1's 100 Hottest Hotties list! The show will air on Friday January 9 on VH1, at 10 pm EST. By the way Orlando Bloom was also on the countdown at #76, and that show will probably be repeated over the course of this week.
(I bet they're repeat the whole thing Sunday too.)
Btw, did everybody see Rob in the Get Fuzzy comic strip wearing a WETA t-shirt in the last week?
Btw, did everybody see Rob in the Get Fuzzy comic strip wearing a WETA t-shirt in the last week?
Not for the first time either. He wears a lot of Soccer and Rugby team shirts too.
eta Hey! That's what PJ should do - a Get Fuzzy movie. WETA can do the animals and Andy Sirkis can do Bucky!
Cool tidbit from RotK: Craig Parker, who played Haldir in both FotR and TTT, does the voices of both the Orc who berates the "pirate scum" (actually, Aragorn et al) for being late to the battle, "as usual," as well as the voice of Gothmog, the pig-faced Orc commander!
I did see his name in the credits, but didn't see what voices he did. I also didn't see the "cute ____ [Gondorian?] children" credit or any of the other cameos. I don't read as quickly as I used to.
