I'm reading a great WIP fanfic that has Daddy Dr. Granger a former SAS member (who still has his beloved combat knife handy at all times) who went to dental school after leaving the military. When DEs come after him and his family, he takes them out the old-fashioned way--with a blade through the throat to cut off the Avada Kedavra curse. Check out Great Scott, Potter, This Is War!" for a fun read (it's a sixth year fic, pre-HBP).

Some upset Potter fans have, well, decided they didn't like the way Harry ended up with Ginny, so they rewrote chunks of the novel and posted the entire thing on their website. F_W has a writeup here: [link]

No. I couldn't figure out whether the blue font was all re-write, or not. Some of it seemed to be in the original.

Well, people have been re-writing other canons when they didn't like them since ever (Christ: divine or human?), so why not Harry Potter?
