I haven't much either cause I've got The Crime Thing.
We're Literary 2: To Read Makes Our Speaking English Good
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
I haven't much either cause I've got The Crime Thing.
Good name for a band. I mean, there already was one just called Crime.
But I might prefer The Crime Thing.
That's funny, Hec. Too bad I don't have musician friends anymore.
The Crime Thing needs to be the name of a 70s funk band.
I loved "Good Omens," but I haven't read Pratchett beyond that.
(Makes note for book. I am a Pelecanos-wannabe after all. At some point, the crime-writer wannabe might write about some funk wannabes.)
I would so listen to a band called The Crime Thing. *Especially* if it was 70s funk.
I'm still pretty damn sure you would enjoy Pratchett

Small Gods is very good and is outside the usual cast of characters, so you don't have to go, "Now, who is that again?" If you want an easy introduction to the major players of the city of Ankh-Morpork, Truth focuses on people other than the usual players but you get to meet several of them anyway.
There are three major casts that I've noticed: the Witches of Lancre with Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg, and a couple of others; the faculty of Unseen University, the Wizards' university; and then, my favorites, the City Watch of Ankh-Morpork, with Commander Vimes and Lord Vetinari and assorted watch-folk and politicians.

Sounds good. I'm going to the library tomorrow, too, so I'll see if they have it.
Small Gods was my first Pratchett, and I enjoyed the hell out of it.
I just started The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, like, FINALLY. It is, of course, damn good.
