The display table which usually has very little of interest today had Barbara Hambly, Jennifer Crusie, Georgette Heyer, at least three vampire-related novels the names of which escape me. Also an anthology edited by a writer Hec mentioned recently (Pat Cadigan). No Deb Grabien (dammit) but they did have a Tad Williams, which I bought.

Also, i tend to do very well at the library for a little while...and then have a catastrophic failure to return several books for months, and finally return them, and avoid the library forever for fear of the fees.

Yep, we listened to the radio interview with this standup, and she was just in shock. They ushered her out of the building and Corporate HQ sent her a frigid little note saying she wasn't welcome, because she had been disrespectful of Bush.
