Let's see....
Hec, same edition I have. Of course I adore the cover.
These Old Shades
YES! Leonie and Avon. Have you read Devil's Cub? About their son Dominic, Marquis of Vidal? And as has been pointed out above, the Worths (from Regency Buck) and the Avons (in the person(s) of Dominic's granddaughter, Barbara Alastair Childe) intertwine in An Infamous Army, yet another reason to love it.

Nope. I need to track that one down.
Jilli, I can loan you my copy.
Plei with the good-taste-in-devilish-Dominics!
Jilli, I don't know if anyone's recommended them yet, but Barbara Hambly has a couple (at least) of really good vampire books out, one is called "Traveling With the Dead" and I can't remember the other. They are really good, set in the 19th century (I think) so they have that kind of morality/science/horror feel, with some mystery. Good stuff, cool vampires, not really sexy though.
Sigh. I went to the used bookstore last week, and bought a whole bag of books. I think I have two left. They go by too fast! Plus, I've now read about 5 of the Nevada Barr books. Which are fun. It's great when you find a new author you like and there's already a number of books by him/her to read....but I really should ration them better or something.

Those Who Hunt the Night. Yep, got 'em both. They are part of the collection that other vampire books get judged against.
