Mal: You are very much lacking in imagination. Zoe: I imagine that's so, sir.

We're Literary 2: To Read Makes Our Speaking English Good

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Art Crawl!!!

Is A Scholar of Magics likely to be a sequel to A College of Magics?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I read Trickster's Choice by Tamora Pierce last night, and found it to be eminently readable.

It was fun, and I liked he characterization. I'll look up more of her books.

I believe it is.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Java, it's next Saturday, 20 March - 4:00 pm. I'll be sending out the email later today.

I've been working on a song about the difference between analogy and metaphor.

A Scholar of Magics is about Jane, the best friend of the protagonist in A College of Magics, and takes place after the first book. I haven't started it yet, but I expect it stands independent of the first.

Herding cats for fun

Sorry! I didn't mean to share the misery.

Hee. I changed my earworm to "La Isla Bonita" for some reason. I must be longing for a vacation in Spain.

I changed my earworm to "La Isla Bonita" for some reason. I must be longing for a vacation in Spain.

That song has one of my favourite misheard lyrics:

"I fell in love with some bagels"

!!!!!

Praise be, I'm not the only one. Once my brain processed that "some bagels" had to be wrong, it immediately switched to "Sambucca". which somehow seemed more Madonna-like.

If I only had a brain...

Barnes and Noble says A Scholar of Magics won't be released until April.
