I missed Jayne's comment--audience cheered too long.

Discussion of all Firefly episodes, including "Trash", "The Message", "Heart of Gold", and any movie news.
I think Mal said something about being ready for the end of the conversation, and Jayne said "I could stand to hear a bit more."
Lilty!!! A bunch of us tried to track you down at the screening (I ran into vw, Emily, Nutty and, separately, Jon B and FAQ girl). Obviously, I didn't find you. Did anyone else?
I forget - what was it?
Something like "I could hear some more."
A friend at the Providence screening just said to me "At least Wash's dinosaurs survive on the console". Anyone else notice if they were there at the end when Mal and River take Serenity out?
I know! I was hoping to see some of you, and we got there so late the theater was already packed when we walked in. We ended up in the waaaay back left corner. I kept scanning the crowd, but didn't see anyone. (Although I did hear someone say the word toaster and kept looking to see who.)

Oh boo. Me and the folks I was with (non-buffistas) were up in that same corner. That may very well have been me, because two of them (a couple) were some of my toaster people, and I was explaining the origin of the phrase. Oh well.
I don't know where to start with this one. For some dumb-ass reason, the idea that anyone would die never reall occured to me. When Book died, I was sad. But then Wash. Wash broke me. My favorite, quickly and brutally killed. It didn't make me hate the movie, or curse Joss's name. Just so very sad.
On the way out, my (Firefly virgin) friend said she couldn't believe I was so shocked at Wash's death. She said he was the kind of under-developed, lovable character that might as well have a target on his back.
I think Wash is (or was *sniff* ) Firefly's Xander
This is what I told her when she said that. Put in terms she could understand, she then consoled me and showed appropriate sadness.

Left side when you're looking at the projection booth, or when you're looking at the screen? I was to the left when you look at the screen, but I heard the toaster comment when I was checking the other aisle for seats.
Ah, no. Left side when facing the projection booth. So somebody else, I guess. Heh, didn't realize that was such a common bit of slang.
I know most of the Sommervillians were in the very front section, and Jon B and FAQ girl were on the first aisle as you come in to the main part of the theater where there are gaps in seating for people in wheelchairs.

They were there. Palm trees too. Did the other crowds go nuts in that scene when Mal hit the three switches? KC did. I had to explain it to the guys because they hadn't paid as close attention to the details as I had.
