Could just be a hoax, though. I fake some headaches, everyone gets used to poor helpless Spike. Then one day, no warning, I snap a spine, bend a head back, drain 'em dry. Brilliant.

I've given in. I'm doing spoilers all the way for this.

Vince, I have no way of knowing whether that's legit or not; it looks good, though. If it is legit, I'm guessing that what Empire Online described as "a pair of passengers who bring trouble to the crew" are the Mingo and Fanty characters; though I could be wrong. My first thought when I read the EO article was "Simon and River" but "You're not going to bring people into a movie if you're explaining all the time what happened before," makes it sound like Joss wants to start with the Tams there. And it would be very classic Firefly for the passengers to be trouble.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Is it just me, or do the names "Mingo and Fanty" sound like they should belong to a pair of over-pampered Shih-Tzus?

Snerk. I've been trying to work out where they're from-- they sound like something I've heard before, with perhaps a few consonants rearranged. Fingo and Manty? Fango and Minty?

Tagline? What tagline?

Am-Chau, I've got someone who might be available to find out if it's the genuine article. It'll be a couple of days or so before I get the 'goods' though. The upstate NY deal is anyone's guess at the moment.

"Mingo and Fanty" kind of reminds me of "Shooty and Bang Bang" from the HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy novels.

I'll get some good practice at the waiting patiently in, then. Not that I haven't had plenty already.

Where in HHttGG? I thought I knew those novels pretty well, but I don't remember this.

Sophia, I'm getting mental images of you gathering a group of Firefly fans in NY and setting out to search the entire city for any signs of FF filming. It would take a long time, but get a systematic search plan and recruit enough people... then, of course, they'd decide to film somewhere else. I just revealed my over-logical scary-stalker side, didn't I?
