Yes, there is. There's a hurry, Xander. I'm dying...I may have as few as fifty years left.

Strawberry disappointment.

Deena. As suggested, burn them as an SVCD or a VCD. They should play on most DVD players (but not all). Alternatively, you could get your hands on a copy of WinDVD and use that. I'm sure I've seen *cough* perfectly legal *cough* copies of that software on some bittorrent sites.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

The problem is that our DVD player isn't compatible with our tv, and until we get an RF modulator (I think?), I'm stuck with watching things on the computer.

I've got Windows XP.

Deena. You could get a graphics card with a TV out, then play media files on your computer but watch them on your telly. I got one for around sixty quid.

Wow. That's cool. Now, as soon as I figure out how much a quid is, and then budget it in, I'm set! ;)

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

1 quid = roughly 1 1/2 bucks, give or take.

(Today's currency conversion is £1=$1.67923, apparently)

All is well that ends in pizza.

RF converters/modulators can be had for around $20 (12 Quid).

Here is a Magnavox one for $ 17.84 at Wal-Mart.com

And a google search turns up many more out there.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

So a quid is a pound?

Yes. Etymology unknown.

Thanks Daniel, that's cheaper than the one at Radio Shack. We were going to get an RCA because that's the same brand as the DVD player and the TV, but I don't think it really matters.

No other candidate is asking the hard questions, like "Did geophysicists assassinate Jim Henson?" or "Why is there hydrogen in America's water supply?" --defective yeti

So a quid is a pound?

Odd mental image here of someone with a quid of chewing tobacco in their lip...
