You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Aw, thanks, Anne!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I'm a bad fan. I've begun to cultivate the SG1 love, catching up on episodes from prior seasons while keeping up with the current one. And okay, while I don't have the lurve, I see why others do.

But I am so meh on Atlantis. The cute guy that I want to like--wossname, with the dark hair (on the skateboard in the behind-the-scenes thing)--annoys me. The guy who Won't.Shut.Up. annoys me. The toothpicky woman with the leather face, who really didn't need that much makeup to go 10,000-plus? Annoys me. Rainbow Whosie recedes because they don't give him enough lines and enough to do, and he doesn't have or isn't allowed enough screen presence to hold the screen. The only character I have any sort of liking for at all is the Scot--which is, I believe, the Scots actor playing an Irishman? And he alone is not enough to keep me watching. I tried, really. But less than halfway through this week I was channel flipping.

BGS, however? Damn you people. I am hooked. And SG1, I'm growing fonder of.

Thrive to spite them

I just read on zap2it.com that Enterprise fans are trying to raise $32 million to convince UPN to keep the show on the air. Or to try and convince Sci fi to pick up the series. According to the article they've raised $32,000 + so far.

I think the actor and the character are both Scottish, actually. So there's that. (I was so distracted by the sounds-like-Pippin thing at first...)

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Friday's ep of Atlantis (the actual aired ep) convinced me that I wouldn't mind if the whole premise was "Sheppard and McKay bicker." Although I thought the actress playing Weir did a lovely job. She's growing on me.

Is Sheppard the won't shut up guy? Or the annoying darkhaired guy?

Yeah, good luck with that.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

There were television shows for which I would have stood up and proudly said, "I helped bankroll this venture!" And then there's Enterprise.

Sheppard is the darkhaired guy; Rodney McKay is the won't shut up guy.

Rodney! Okay, yeah. Got it.

Actually I liked Sheppard in the piece of the episode I saw with them fighting the Wraith guy who was lurking in the wrecked ship hull. He only annoyed me later in another episode. So I should keep watching and they'll grow on me? Do you promise?

Also, Katie, I wished you happy in Natter, but in case you don't see it, Happy Birthday!
