I happen to be very biteable, pal. I'm moist and delicious.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

That was the moment when they lost me for that character - can't see him as anything but a caricature now.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

At this rate, SG-1 will never die.

Just think of it as the L&O of science fiction.

Also, Happy Birthday, Katie M!

(I thought I'd post here, since this is where I see you most often.)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

The TiVo's channel changing somehow screwed up on Friday night, so I don't have episode 15 of FishbowlStargate Atlantis. And I didn't find out about it until all the showings were over, of course.

Also, the BFNet site only has episodes available from 21 to 16. Does anybody have an AVI or MPG file of episode 15 (the one that showed in the US on Friday) that they could yousendit to me? t big pleading puppy eyes

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Do what, P-C?

You were talking about a paper from the past. Daniel was saying an episode had not aired yet, when in fact it had. Thus, he must be in the past. Duh.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Oh. Of course.

(You confused me because there's a Daniel on SG-1, which, not the same show, but still Stargate)

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Aw, thanks, Anne!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I'm a bad fan. I've begun to cultivate the SG1 love, catching up on episodes from prior seasons while keeping up with the current one. And okay, while I don't have the lurve, I see why others do.

But I am so meh on Atlantis. The cute guy that I want to like--wossname, with the dark hair (on the skateboard in the behind-the-scenes thing)--annoys me. The guy who Won't.Shut.Up. annoys me. The toothpicky woman with the leather face, who really didn't need that much makeup to go 10,000-plus? Annoys me. Rainbow Whosie recedes because they don't give him enough lines and enough to do, and he doesn't have or isn't allowed enough screen presence to hold the screen. The only character I have any sort of liking for at all is the Scot--which is, I believe, the Scots actor playing an Irishman? And he alone is not enough to keep me watching. I tried, really. But less than halfway through this week I was channel flipping.

BGS, however? Damn you people. I am hooked. And SG1, I'm growing fonder of.

Thrive to spite them

I just read on zap2it.com that Enterprise fans are trying to raise $32 million to convince UPN to keep the show on the air. Or to try and convince Sci fi to pick up the series. According to the article they've raised $32,000 + so far.

I think the actor and the character are both Scottish, actually. So there's that. (I was so distracted by the sounds-like-Pippin thing at first...)
