This is so nice. Having everyone together for my birthday. Of course, you could smash in all my toes with a hammer and it will still be the bestest Buffy Birthday Bash in a big long while.

ita, I kind of thought that was for sure. I wasn't surprised, anyway. I guess it hadn't been confirmed though. I'm wondering about the new guy in Aquarium too. From whence he cometh? I'm guessing the Asgard or someone might lend a hand, as is their wont.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I went to gateworld.net, and they had this to say on Jack:

Series star Richard Dean Anderson will likely not be a regular on SG-1 for the first time in the show's history. The actor has been reducing his role on the show since Season Six to spend more time with his young daughter in California, but may make guest appearances in Season Nine.

I'm sorry, MAY make guest appearances? MAY? He bloody better, is all I'm saying.

I'm 100% with you on that.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Dude, guest appearances is how we got Pod!Giles. Be careful what you wish for.

Better than the alternative, I'm thinking.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Actually as far as Aquarium, I think them being able to get back and forth to Earth, but not very often, due to limited resources, etc., would actually help the series after the first season.

If this is the direction they are going, I'm thinking it might be a good idea for the show. There's only so many times you can find/lose/just miss the flabotinum.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

ita: Nothing formal's been said, but the casting information makes it look like we're getting little to no Jack next year, yeah.

  • sob* My show! My show is going away!

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

The Atlantis news makes my head hurt.

On the other hand, Sheppard/New Guy? Hmmmmm.
