Back in '87 they used this to good effect by revealing that Lana was a Manhunter sleeper agent that knew Clark's identity and was prepared to use it against him.
That is the only part of that particular series that I remember with great fondness.

I really think they would have done better to have Wonder Woman's turncoat be Mindi Mayer, or someone at her agency, or maybe even one of the other amazons. As it is I'm left thinking "We've replaced one of the Greek Gods with Folger's CrystalsTM. Let's see if Athena notices."
