Hellbound Equal-Opportunity Nookie Hog

I think part of the deal with BSG is they're hobbled by what the original left them. Let's face it... the first BSG was a trainwreck of bad ideas. If they'd been able to come up with the whole "distant human cousins get attacked by their own creation" plotline without needing to work in the first series' stuff, I suspect it'd make more sense. But yeah, the mythology drift while the names stay mostly intact? Definitely. Irish mythology's just rife with how that can happen.

Well, Enterprise also mucked up the Klingons in that "T&T" established that, yes, the Klingons used to look like TOS Klingons (one of the great throaway jokes in that ep - "We do not speak of it!"), and then Enterprise has to go and use the current Klingon makeup. Feh.

That's a big part of why I just don't watch Enterprise anymore. They treat continuity as a waste of their time unless it isn't.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Okay, how odd that in the one sentence snippet they do mention his accent. Still, I'm relaxed.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

They've gotten better. Sort of. At least Berman's out of the day-to-day stuff.

Ever fired your gun in the air and yelled, 'Aaaaaaah?'

According to Devoted to Smallville it airs March 2 but they don't mention PW.

Hope his French accent isn't as bad as his American or Australian.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Huh. I've been watching S1 of Carnivale (up to ep 11 now) and I was surprised to see Ron Moore's name in the executive producer credit--I've been thinking the whole time that Dan whassoname was the EP. (Yes, I am dense.) I guess DS9, BSG and Carnivale all have long-term arcs and lots of thematic darkness, but otherwise, Carnivale feels to me stylistically dissimilar from the other two shows.

Man, this show has a lot of sex. Of fucked-up variety.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

(offtopic) Gandalfe, how is Requeen? I've wanted to ask, but I don't seem to see you elsewhere. (/offtopic) So, how 'bout them Cylons?

I hope he and MR have scenes together.

Oh dear fuck. I think my ovaries just exploded.

Meh. I wasn't using them anyway.

I finally got to see Farscape: Peacekeeper Wars and what a thing of beauty. It kicked so many kinds of ass. Thank god I was spoiled or I would have been an even bigger mess at the end than I was.

On a completely shallow note: Damn, Braca was looking hot.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I read they're actually going to do an episode explaining that this season.

They've gotten better. Sort of. At least Berman's out of the day-to-day stuff.

Definitely. They recently did a couple episodes laying the groundwork for the Vulcan society and behavior we're familiar with rather than the pseudo-Vulcans we've seen on the show so far.

Although that part still kind of drives me nuts. But I suppose they're at least trying to explain why these things they've been calling "Vulcans" haven't resembled Vulcans at all.
