So....
BSG tonight was pushing my anvil tolerance. And I have a high anvil tolerance. Plus, a hostage situation with hardened, violent criminals that end by two guys preaching at each other over gunpoint?
I giggled all the way through the climax. I enjoyed it, but perhaps not in the way the makers intended. Unless they were being deliberately ham-handed.
OK, I give up. I cannot watch Strange without expecting Richard Coyle to get nervous facing off against a demon and start babbling about breasts.
I am so changing my tag to "spawn of the devil or Marti Noxon".
I'm wondering whether BG isn't trying to set up a triangle between Cmdr. Adama, the Pres and Apollo.
A friend of mine has been talking to Marti Noxon about "Point Pleasant" and MN told her it doesn't really get going till episode 4. So I'm gonna hold out hope.
Can I say for the record that, although I don't tend to find Battlestar Galactica all that and a bag of chips, it pleases and amuses me no end that the fandom cry has gone up in favor of middle-aged women getting to have sex (whether with their age-peers or with their age-peers' sons).
I think it is a landmark fandom event, and deserves notice.
Finally watched BG ep 3 -- definitely more heavy-handed than I generally like, but not terrible. I still like the tone of the series a lot.
I watched this week's Andromeda this afternoon.
Beka is the ur-mother of all Nietszcheans? (If that's the way you spell it.)
And did she and Rhade have some sort of fling that I missed out on? (Basing this on his reaction to the news.)
sumi, what episode were you watching? Is it a new one?
Yes, it aired on Scifi last night. It was called something like "Pride Goes Before the Fall".
