Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Woo-hoo! Go Katie!

I saw the new SG episode. Yay, Harry! Not enough Harry/Jack interaction for my liking, but I'll take what little Maybourne I can get. I also liked Sam's little dig at Jack re. Alamo. "It's also on earth, sir." Ha! The pacing seemed a bit draggy though. Being a comedy episode, it should have had more pop and snap. Also, the entire episode felt very under-scored. Like, long, long patches of silence. Bizarre.

I also watched the latest Atlantis, "The Brotherhood", which I actually liked better than SG-1 episode (which seems to be a trend post-hiatus, sad to say.) It was cheesy at bits, I chortled at the antics of Indiana!McKay, and the usual spot on Shep/McKay interaction. My GOD, these two do good banter. It also had interesting B-plot back on Atlantis--and can I just say, I LOVE the Chech doctor, whose name escapes me right now. More of him, please! A real fun, solid episode, the kind of which we used to see in S1 and 2 SG-1.

Zelenka, Vonnie. And I also liked the way the locals shafted the team when they realized they weren't actually operating under the Ancients' authority.

Zelenka! That was his name. *heart*

Ditto what you said about the locals.

Uhm, why am I up at 2:30 am? It's 'cause I started watching my DS S2 DVDs (which I'd bought months ago and hadn't gotten to), then I got to "Juliet Is Bleeding", and whoa. This is show has such a light touch, when it does dark, it upsets me in a way that's out of proportion. God, poor Vecchio.

Vonnie! See my latest LJ post (comments) for something you may like.

Also? Laura says Killa says the VVC dvds have shipped.

Oh, no! Vonnie, go to bed!

And yay, that you thought it was hot. Because if it wasn't, what's the point?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Oh my. I just watched my tape of MADtv from last night, and they did a movie trailer spoof combining Ray and The Grudge. Ray's wife assumed he was back on smack when he told her about the ghosts, and they had Bobby Lee as Kayako moaning along in harmony with Ray during a rendition of "What'd I Say."

Art Crawl!!!

Well, you guys who watched the BBC versions can tell me what all I missed, but I really enjoyed the season opener of MI-5.

Also, Rupert Penry-Jones is strangely more attractive as Adam Carter than he was playing the REAL spy in Cambridge Spies.

I didn't get to watch the marathon and hadn't watched my tapes in a looong time -- so I was a little at sea at first. But -- it was a lot of fun. And Tom showed himself to be much more competent than usual.

I have to admit, Adam Carter is a cold-hearted bastard, but a very good spy.

I expect they cut hell out of the scene where he talks wassname into shooting herself.

Oh, yeah. Essentially, all mentions of the daughter have been excised. I mean, a lot of that was exposition to catch the viewers up on why Tom was framed, but they also lost some intensity from the scene by abbreviating it so much.

They also cut the last scene in which Adam was invited along with Zoe, Danny and Tom to go for a drink, which I was actually happy about, because that scene had struck me as incongruous when it first aired.
