Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Well, they could not allow any ad libs. How anal are the writers, do we know?

And the casting has been confirmed on Scifi.com.

I foresee spoiler-control issues here.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Jessica just confirmed the casting spoiler in the spoiling thread. It's true.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, RDA certainly had his way with the dialogue. But his name is kinda all over the credits.

Oh boy.

It's like a fannish dream come true; I would never have expected them to do this, not least because of the physical similarities between MS and BB.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

I am amused by the parallel topics being discussed in here and natter.

so what you're telling me is there is a link between Ben...and Glory?

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Well, industry-confirmed regular cast spoilers are allowed, no? This is sort of analogous to Spike going over to Angel post-Buffy.

Point. My sense is that some of RDA's stuff is his. But then, who's gonna argue with him? My other sense is that they, as a crew, are all about the fun. Or, have a healthy appreciation for it. I say this from listening to some of the commentaries and such. I, of course, am making them all into what I want them to be.

I foresee spoiler-control issues here.

Heh. I forsee personal issues with controlling my usual preference to not be spoiled. As I dash off to sci-fi.com...

(Edited to take out my snark at RDA. How silly am I? Very silly. I felt bad; I adore him.)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I don't think there's any freakin' way people will be able to avoid this spoiler. It's ginormous. I'm in the Spoiler thread anyway, so I'll be able to talk about it there at the very least. But I hope it's allowable discussion over here where it belongs.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't see why it wouldn't be allowable -- it's not even like Spike. It's a completely new cast member, and who knows in what capacity or with what impact to the current cast or plotlines.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Wow. This is unexpected.
