Also, I suddenly thought, while walking home, that the story of Chloe's search for her mother and finding her in the insane asylum would have made a nice Chloe-centric episode. .. in a show where they might actually do that sort of thing. You know, rather than blurting it all out as an aside in this episode.
He heated it to a thousand Kelvin, and then the magic coolerator dropped it down to ... 300, IIRC. So it was touchable.

I really wasn't paying enough attention.
They showed the temperature digits dropping right back down afterwards -- initially I'd thought that it meant Kent hadn't heated them up long enough, but it all seemed to work out.
