Only a little, Vonnie. In the sense that one of the first questions asked when Ben & Claudia were both on stage was,
Ben or Michael Shanks: who kisses better?
After that, it just became a running joke. Ben or Michael Shanks: who looks better in leather? Except Ben asked the blind fan that, who pointed out that he had no opinion, being blind. Ben recovered, asked who was better in bed, the blind guy said, "her!", meaning his wife, and followed it up with, "I'm blind, not stupid!"
When Claudia left the stage to go the restroom, Ben told everyone to start leaving when she returned, as if the session were over. When Ben left the stage, someone gave Claudia a promo pic of MS, and she propped it on Ben's chair as a replacement. *g*
Ben kept saying, "Shanks is gonna hate me!" but the jokes kept coming.
Oh, and Claudia kept "dropping" things so Ben would pick them up for her. There were some amusing contortions.
damn i wish i could have gone to Burbank. can't wait for flist to light up with stories from the weekend. thanks for the highlights, Consuela.
My thought was why not fire a few blasts from Teal'c's staff weapon or fire off a couple mortars to clear the way, first? Then Teal'c would have even less to work through.
Well, SG has pretty consistently refused to consider the possibilities of artillery being fired through the Gate. (UAVs and missiles, yes, but nothing brute-force. Personally, I think they just don't want to go there.) If you want a fanwank, I could say that they're worried that there could be a further collapse that would seal the Gate, but...

Hee! And aw, poor Ben. Though I imagine he got enough admiration over the course of the weekend to muddle through somehow.
Oh, I think Ben got enough props. It was just funny. And frankly, Ben's both more talented and better looking than MS, and -- I think -- probably rather smarter. He's certainly aging better.
Well, yes, no argument there.
Oh, I think Shanks is aging quite nummily. I'd mark them even on that score.
::floats away, thinking of the aging of RDA::
t boggles at ita's wrongitude
t decides it's not worth arguing with a women who can kill me with her pinkie
You think Michael looks worse than he did in S1? I think they both look just as good as they did when I first saw them, just older.
I do. He's gained weight around the face, looks rather more flabby. Aging is fine, and maybe if he'd kept his weight down it wouldn't show as badly.

Pretty.
Season 7:

Less pretty. IMO.
Argh, I can't find the image I want. He's still an attractive man, but I think he looked best around seasons 3 and 4, before the Unfortunate Sideburns, and before weight gain blurred his jawline. I don't miss the babyfat, I just wish he'd gone leaner, that's all.
BB got more character in his face as he aged without losing any definition; I don't think MS has done the same.
