I'm a single undead gal trying to make it in the big city. I have to start somewhere and they're evil here. They don't judge. They've got necro-tempered glass. No burning up. A great medical plan, and who needs dental more than us?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

My thought was why not fire a few blasts from Teal'c's staff weapon or fire off a couple mortars to clear the way, first? Then Teal'c would have even less to work through.

Well, SG has pretty consistently refused to consider the possibilities of artillery being fired through the Gate. (UAVs and missiles, yes, but nothing brute-force. Personally, I think they just don't want to go there.) If you want a fanwank, I could say that they're worried that there could be a further collapse that would seal the Gate, but...

When Ben left the stage, someone gave Claudia a promo pic of MS, and she propped it on Ben's chair as a replacement.

Hee! And aw, poor Ben. Though I imagine he got enough admiration over the course of the weekend to muddle through somehow.

Oh, I think Ben got enough props. It was just funny. And frankly, Ben's both more talented and better looking than MS, and -- I think -- probably rather smarter. He's certainly aging better.

Well, yes, no argument there.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, I think Shanks is aging quite nummily. I'd mark them even on that score.

::floats away, thinking of the aging of RDA::

You think Michael looks worse than he did in S1? I think they both look just as good as they did when I first saw them, just older.

I do. He's gained weight around the face, looks rather more flabby. Aging is fine, and maybe if he'd kept his weight down it wouldn't show as badly.

Season 1: [link] Pretty.

Season 7: [link] Less pretty. IMO.

Argh, I can't find the image I want. He's still an attractive man, but I think he looked best around seasons 3 and 4, before the Unfortunate Sideburns, and before weight gain blurred his jawline. I don't miss the babyfat, I just wish he'd gone leaner, that's all.

BB got more character in his face as he aged without losing any definition; I don't think MS has done the same.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Season 1: [link] Pretty.

Season 7: [link] Less pretty. IMO.

Far be it for me, but that pic on the bottom? Not really indicative of Daniel in the 8th season. I mean, showing him under stress and in bad lighting, almost every SG-1 member would look kind of...well...stressed.

I think he was prettier in S1, but very few men get prettier with age. I think he's still very handsome, but mileage was made to vary.
