I'm not sure about Lionel, P-C, except he's making me nauseous.
Also making me nauseous is the idea that Lex is full on faux-necrophiliacally Oedipal. I'm not too much of a fan of "oh, and by the way, for the last 13 months, we neglected to hint to you..." storytelling.
I'm not a fan of stupid women who think that casual sex with anyone (much less a playboy with what seems a rep) entitles them to even a phone call the next morning.
I'm not a fan of pouty virgins who get upset when someone they don't confide in doesn't confide in them.
I mean, I would have felt for Lex in this ep, since everyone else was so wrong, but I was busy trying to process his new disorder.
Well, that was Lionel's take on things. . . yeah?
It was Lionel's take on Lex duplicating his father's pattern and seducing brunettes and forgetting them quite entirely. Even before you bring the mother into it, I'm having a hard time.
Not with the casual sex -- just the strong typing, father's footsteps, and amnesia.
I think that's
huge,
and that the implication is way more creepy than Smallville will ever address.
Actually, you wonder -- given that we have no idea how long this has been going on -- whether Lex hasn't been programmed - I mean, his father spent a lot of time messing with his brain.
I just watched the Stargate Atlantis episode 12 (well, whatever is the first one back after break), and I quite like it, with a very VERY large Teyla-shaped exception. I hate her, where I just disliked her before. She's dumb.
Rest of the ep was cool, though (okay, maybe the CGI was a bit off). Probably my favourite Aquarium ep so far.
I also noticed that the UK seems to have already gotten the Battlestar Galactica eps, so they're available where people go to get things like that.

Woo! Makes me happy. January, right? Feh. That's far away.
January 21, yeah.

"We have no time pressure here. I think it will be fun to indulge in a nice, laid-back knife fight!" *headdesk*
And you know, if it had been a good
knife fight
-- wait, no, even then, completely insane and pointless. I thought everyone else rocked, though.
Okay, I downloaded 11 (First one back) and 12. Haven't watched 12, but I did like the one line..
"
I'm not aiming at her.
"
And then
shooting him.
Which is much closer to what a real marksman can do, as opposed to the usual cop/military ability portrayal on TV.
At first I was worried, DCJ, because you know that
with automatic weapons, aim not so good, but then
I remembered the scene in an SG1 ep where Jack had Sam
demonstrate her markmanship with the P90
-- very versatile.
