Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

All is well that ends in pizza.

Okay, I downloaded 11 (First one back) and 12. Haven't watched 12, but I did like the one line..

" I'm not aiming at her. " And then shooting him.

Which is much closer to what a real marksman can do, as opposed to the usual cop/military ability portrayal on TV.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

At first I was worried, DCJ, because you know that with automatic weapons, aim not so good, but then I remembered the scene in an SG1 ep where Jack had Sam demonstrate her markmanship with the P90 -- very versatile.

FYI: deepdiscountdvd.com is having a 20% off sale, ending tomorrow. The discount code is NYTIMES. Plus they have free shipping. That makes full seasons of Farscape about $72, which is a lot compared to Jossverse shows, but really cheap for Farscape.

I just can't decide which season to get, since I can really only afford one.

Oooh! And it makes Peacekeeper Wars about $8.50!

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Um, I don't think so. The website says

pre-release DVDs and non-DVD merchandise are excluded from the sale.

Although you can't beat the price for full seasons.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

FWIW, there were a lot of references this weekend to scenes that were cut out of the mini. Nobody, however, had the presence of mind to ask Brian whether they'd be included in the dvd of the mini, or how many there would be.

Damnit.

Also? Henson's pushing for a movie. We'll see what happens.

Ben funny. OMG, so funny. Claudia too. Gigi hypercute. Anth insane. Brian and Rock both engaging and amiable. Froon his usual snarky self.

There was a talent show. Ben, Fran, and Froon managed not to laugh at the crazy Irish girl singing a song about a dead cat.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Ironically, right? There was... irony...

...I'm being optimistic again, aren't I?
