I do know that in World Rally, the Scottish drivers generally have the Scottish flag on their cars. The Welsh drivers also use the Welsh flag rather than the GB flag. The only ones who use the GB flag are the ones who actually hail from England proper.
I don't think it's just an option - the Black Watch and Scots Guards both fly the Scottish Cross. Which saint is that? I only know St George.
