I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

"Stupid meme."

"Well, yeah. But man, will you take a look at its arms?"

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Want to hear Ben Browder doing an Australian accent?

This audiobook company seems to focus on, or at least be pushing, sci-fi books narrated by sci-fi actors. Aside from Browder, there's one narrated by Jason Carter, one by Michael Shanks, and one by James Marsters.

Stargate: Atlantis pernicketing post ahead --

Has anyone else noticed that while Dr. Beckett has a Scottish flag on his arm, other people have a British flag? It's hurting my brain. Someone want to fanwank it for me?

It's...typical Browder, I guess? Throws himself into it wholeheartedly. It's a very broad accent. And an Alan Dean Foster book, so I only listened to one of the selections.

I was a wee bit miffed that there weren't any clips of the Michael Shanks one, though.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Perhaps one who is in the British forces has the option of putting the flag of their native country within the UK...At least in the gate 'verse...

That'll do, pig.

No, really, cheers. Sort of. Brain stop hurty, at least.

I do know that in World Rally, the Scottish drivers generally have the Scottish flag on their cars. The Welsh drivers also use the Welsh flag rather than the GB flag. The only ones who use the GB flag are the ones who actually hail from England proper.

Conservative, n. A statesman who is enamored of existing evils, as distinguished from the Liberal, who wishes to replace them with others. -Bierce

I don't think it's just an option - the Black Watch and Scots Guards both fly the Scottish Cross. Which saint is that? I only know St George.
