All is well that ends in pizza.

I get the impression that Rebecca Riggs was actually pregnant during filming. She had a water retention aura.

I believe I read somewhere that she was, so they went with it.

Eeeeeeeeee!!!

PK Wars! PK Wars! Ra ra ra!

It holds up magnificently upon rewatch, though having just rewatched the end of S4, the design changes are kind of funny. (I mean, Chi's haircut makes perfect sense, since she's been away 2 months, but Rygel's mouth being CG-assisted just looks weird.)

Cash, re your spoilery question:

Yes, that appears to be exactly what's going on. And yes, that image was shown at the beginning, accompanied by voice over. The implication does seem to be that this is the ending we're working our way towards. I'm a little afeared for the end of the mini myself.

the design changes are kind of funny.

Sikozu in particular looks really different.

My one continued quibble with the storytelling is that everyone, including John and Aeryn, seems to have forgotten that the John Aeryn's marrying is not the John she had the relationship with in S3. When Rygel said "There were times when we couldn't keep you two off each other," I couldn't help thinking that, really, most (if not all) of the John/Aeryn sex was on Talyn, which should make that sort of statement much more awkward than it was.

Art Crawl!!!

Just watched my tape from last night. God that was good. You guys have said most of what I was thinking -- loved Rygel swimming at the beginning!

And I think I must re-watch to see if I agree with what Consuela was suggesting re: the ending and the beginning.

( That whole Moya!John vs. Talen!John thing is just so confusing to me -- I don't even remember what happened to which John -- was the other John killed off? )

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Yes, in Icarus Abides. Radiation poisoning.

Well, Moya!John is the John that is currently alive. Talyn!John was in a relationship with Aeryn, and then died of radiation poisoning. (Which also reminds me -- wasn't that thing that he built a wormhole weapon? Obviously it wasn't the Doomsday-type wormhole weapon they're talking about now, but it was still a weapon built using the wormhole knowledge that the Ancients put in his head. And while Moya!John wouldn't know that, you'd think Aeryn would remember the circumstances of his death pretty clearly, and be saying "But you did build a wormhole weapon once. Oh wait, that was the other you.")

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I'd start a death poll, but that'd probably come across callous and strange.

(My kittens are on Pip, in some heroic self-sacrifical gesture. Accompanied by a swell of choral music, natch. D'Argo will howl in the agony of grief, making everyone cry.)

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Jessica, yeah. Talyn!John did help build a wormhole weapon, although someone on my LJ pointed out that he needed Jack-the-Ancient to unlock the information for him to use it. Still, that sounds to me like the data is *there*.

And yeah, the beginning and a couple of bits in the middle showed us John lying on a bed on Moya, covered with a gold blanket, and looking either dead or dying. Moya looks *very* banged up, and Aeryn is angry, although we don't see her, we just hear her.

I love the looming sense of catastrophe this gives us, because at the moment, while this is all very fun, it feels a bit too familiar: of course they'll get out! They can't kill the only Crichton left! (And I doubt they will, because franchise, anyone?) But....

Vonnie, I tend to agree with you, except Gigi is ferociously popular... Maybe D'Argo? Nobody would care enough if Stark, Noranti, or Sikozu died. And I think Scorpius is still too valuable to the franchise -- unless WP decides he wants out.

On general principles, I'm ready for Stark to die.

No! Not D'Argo! ::sobs::

On the other hand... he did have that introspective conversation with Aeryn (admist all the gun-play. Hee.) and there's gotta be a reason they brought Jothee back. Damn.
