Angel: Eve. So, I guess we should, I don't know, talk? Eve: About what? Angel: About what happened back there with us. Eve: Angel, it's not like this is the first time I've had sex under a mystical influence. I went to U.C. Santa Cruz.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Yeah, I very much got an Eowyn vibe when Meany told her she must stay behind to take care of the kingdom bunker, but it was wasted on her.

They never did explain how all those people could be spending all that time in close proximity to all that radiation without dying, did they?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How many generations had they been down there? I glossed over some of the finer points.

I seem to be okay with Stargate secrets. I don't have a problem with the government not revealing the existence of the goa'uld, and if the Jenni want to lie to Teyla, why the hell not? What do they owe her?

What colour is titian? I'm getting a Nancy Drew vibe off of Teyla's hairdo.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Titian is red. Named after the painter Titian, and IIRC it's a flaming, orangey, extremely bright red.

Also, a cliche people apply to red-haired people.

However, since parents in TV and movies are often at least two generations older than their children, it seems to create a different set of expectations.

Good point. And my parents were 40 when I was born, so that really is my reference point. And, apparently, they are not tailoring everything to my frame of reference. Rude.

Sheppard has grown on me quite a bit. I like him. Rainbow needs to, I dunno, dial it up or something. Although, he was kind of funny last ep with the kids.

I skimmed LJ for SG commentary, and I had no idea that Aquarium was being so enjoyed.

I just think they all act dumb, even though I enjoy many of the characters. Which is an achievement, I guess.

I have a plan.

Overall, I wasn't particularly drawn in to either show last night, although, always a pleasure to see Thor. And I do enjoy the McKay/Sheppard repartee. I see they're trying to do something about Teyla's hair. Don't think they've quite succeeded yet.

Morning all. I'm right there with you JenP. I was mainly put off by both episodes because I felt terribly, terribly mislead by the preview content. Although what happened is basically what the previews said would happen, it's not what I thought was going to happen because of what they showed. Know what I mean?

In my own personal fanwank, I was kind of hoping that the clone made on earth was actually a slightly better quality than the Asgard were making, due to process or something like that.

ION, I have XXX on TV and for some reason, I'm not changing the channel yet. What is wrong with me?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Porn? Oh, wait... xXx. That movie. Can't recall anything about it.

Stupid title.

As far as Stargate previews? I was wondering if the WB promo team took over Stargate publicity...

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

RE the Farscape promo: I'm wondering if Grayza somehow has Aeryn's baby removed and implanted inside herself. What got me thinking that is the clip where the alien chick tells Aeryn, "You will never be reunited with your baby."

You know, in the SG-1 ep with the big ship that is destroying a planet so that the beings on the ship can have a home again ... but they happen to be about to destroy a village of people who are already there (and can't leave because ... I forget), even though the ship thought the planet was uninhabited (or, I could look up the title, right?) ... anyway, there's a scene in this ep, where Jack ultimately decides they need to blow up the ship to prevent it from destroying the village, and he has to order Carter to make a bomb to do it and argue with Daniel about the right and wrong of what he's decided.

Yeah, that scene. It is really quite affecting. RDA really, really sells it (especially when Jack says, "Give me another choice," when Daniel is arguing with him and doesn't actually have any other options to offer ... because there's just a hint of, "No, really, I mean give me another choice, please.") as do MS and AT. Color me impressed. RDA really kind of kicks ass, performance-wise, in this ep.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Scorched Earth.

And yeah, I like that episode. He really doesn't want to do it but given the choice between death for hundreds of real existing human beings and thousands of frozen not-living embryos, well... he chooses the living.

RDA really does well when he's caught in those ethical binds.
