'Our Mrs. Reynolds'

Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Consuela *really* needs to watch this

I was lucky enough to see an early draft of the first part, but yes, I can't wait to see the whole thing. t makes plan to invite self over to Laura's place very soon

I really hope Destina doesn't mind that I came away from her vid thinking, "OT4. It could work."

OT4 is the new grey, or something. Although right now threesome!fic appears to be where it's at. I was toying with doing a virtual foursome for the apocafic, but I don't think it'll fly (that's aside from my questionable ability to write the thing -- pronoun problems! Keeping four people in character during a sex scene! Eeeks!).

How were Barkley's vids? What did she bring?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I feel so bad for Teal'c. I mean, in order to do the OT3 not only do you end up leaving Teal'c out, it's really kind of necessary to have him offscreen by several miles.

How were Barkley's vids? What did she bring?

She brought, um, four, I think? The Paradise By The Dashboard Light one, which showed in the Meta vidshow (and I seriously want to know what people thought the toothpaste was doing in it); a Mulder/Scully vid to "So Are You To Me" in Nearly New; an S7 Jack vid to Blind Faith's "Can't Find My Way Home" in Premieres; and a challenge vid called "Lucky One" by Gemma... crap. Gemma someone. Anyway, a Meridian-ish Daniel-POV-on-Jack vid.

None of them are big vids, but I like them. (Of course, I'm biased, since I betaed three of them.) The reaction to Lucky One was very interesting, actually. The challenge vids are shown anonymously then discussed in the room, so you get to hear people's first, snap reactions, and it was fascinating to hear who got it and who didn't. Some people had trouble with what they saw as a POV shift; then someone else--Shoshanna, I think?--said "no no!" and laid out the entire vid, bang-bang-bang, exactly the way Barkley intended it. So there was some interesting back-and-forth about how well it worked for different people.

Oh, that sounds SO cool. And if I'm lucky she'll post them in a format I can actually watch, like .avi or something. Quicktime files still don't work for me, I have no idea why.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

(and I seriously want to know what people thought the toothpaste was doing in it)

It was the straw that broke the camel's back, wasn't it? In terms of being so irritated with Jack that he was praying for the end of time.

That's so not going to make any sense if people don't know the song.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Probably because they were done with a codec you don't have.

there are lots of codecs out there, not every one of them is available through Quicktime's update.

Daniel, I've uninstalled and reinstalled codec packages until I'm blue in the face. I don't know what else I can do, other than convert, which I've done once or twice. At least that way I can see the files, although the quality is crap.

Yes, that's it. Yay! It was inspired by a particular conversation (which involved toothpaste at one point) so I wasn't sure that bit would make any sense to anyone.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Someone asked about it in one of the shows, or something, but I don't remember who, and I think most people got it. Oh, I know what it was. It was when we were watching the Unexpected Levels show in Cassandra's room after Premieres.

Theo, were you the one who wanted to see "Did You" again? Destina's got a link to it here.
