I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Oh yes. It's Stargate Does A Lifetime Movie Of The Week.

I have to get myself moving here, but while waking up enough to go back downstairs I wanted to stop by and gloat that I got to watch Avatar with Theo and Vonnie and y'all didn't. Whee!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

He got played last week.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I was hoping we'd see him yet again -- it seems a fair amount of buildup for a character who gets used up in the next episode, after all!

I didn't talk half enough Stargate with Katie and Vonnie, but they were so good to talk to about anything, so it was just as fun.

Getting to watch Stargate with a bunch of appreciative fans was really nice. They all cheered Teal'c's arms....

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

OH MY GOD! The VIVIDCON! It rocked so hard!! And I got to hang out with Katie and Theodosia and Nestra and Shrift and Micole and S.A.! Wheee!

Ahem. Sorry. Still a little bit high. It was enormous fun to watch Stargate with fellow fans--I think we all liked Avatar a great deal, especially the part where someone had to go into the game to help out Teal'c and Jack & Daniel & Sam all went, "I'll go." in unison. Awww!

I had my expectations set low--I was gonna be OK as long as it didn't suck and blow as hard as that atrocious XF VR episode, "First Person Shooter", and let me tell you, very few things can top... err, I mean bottom that episode. So I was pleasantly surprised that we got a nice little Teal'c character study and adorable team bonding moments.

The Atlantis ep was pretty awful, I thought. Some cute McKay bits. And it was nice to see Elliott again after "Last Stand", but that was about it. Still can't abide Teyla. I think a large part of that is her pink hair.

After we watched the episodes, we talked until wee hours of the night about Stargate, but I can't remember a single thing we talked about. My brain has dribbled out of my ears from sensory overload and fatigue.

Oh, by the way, there was a JOAN OF ARCADIA Vid during the premiere show that made me so happy that I nearly died. Katie can attest to how excited I was at the end of it--I was bouncing off my seat, yelling, "Oh my God! It was like they made the vid especially for me! Wheee!". It was done by Seah and Margie, who made the fabulous Odyssey Five Vid, "Haunted", and they had the most perfect song EVER for the vid, and there was just so much sheer joy in that vid that my heart nearly burst out of my chest in happiness. I can't wait for Seah and Margie to put the vid online so that I spread the love.

Now, I have to go off and get more coffee.

Seah & Margie actually had two Joan vids -- one was a character piece about Mr. Girardi which was quite moving -- and then they had a perfect recruitment vid in the one Vonnie mentions.

There was also a Wesley/Lilah vid that was sheer perfection. And lots more Angel vids, all of them worthwhile, including one done to a rap that I have to see again soonest so that I can try decoding the rapid wordage, what I could make out seemed extremely apt.

And several Stargate vids, including one by Destina that I want to see about 30 times in a row so that I can revel in the sheer number of iconic character moments she picked out, and how they all add up to a team portrait -- I felt there were subtle complex ideas on offer there.

But mostly just... guh! t head explodes
