Seah & Margie actually had
two
Joan
vids -- one was a character piece about Mr. Girardi which was quite moving -- and then they had a perfect recruitment vid in the one Vonnie mentions.
There was also a Wesley/Lilah vid that was sheer perfection. And lots more
Angel
vids, all of them worthwhile, including one done to a rap that I have to see again soonest so that I can try decoding the rapid wordage, what I could make out seemed extremely apt.
And several
Stargate
vids, including one by Destina that I want to see about 30 times in a row so that I can revel in the sheer number of iconic character moments she picked out, and how they all add up to a team portrait -- I felt there were subtle complex ideas on offer there.
But mostly just... guh!
t head explodes
Oh, and who was it who had the charming and oh-so-gay Smallville vid? Must find my program...
I hate you all.
So, where do we sign up to get the Vividcon dvds? And if you tell me they're not doing them I'll be forced to undertake desperate measures.
Of course they're doing them. I'd keep an eye on the website for ordering information.

Oh yeah. That was very affecting, although I must admit I went, "man, if we were to have a character vid, why couldn't it have been a Grace vid? Or a Luke one?", 'cause... yeah, I am not biased at all. No, sir. *cough* Then I saw "Big Red Boat" (the one I was talking about before) and the first vid kind of got drowned in my mind from all the squee. I need to watch it again. Actually, I need to rewatch all the premiere vids. Especially the Gwyneth's drop-dead-gorgeous Wes/Lilah vid, both Lum & Here's Luck's Firefly vids for compare & contrast, Sisabet's Angel vid to rap as Theo mentioned, Laura & Killa's Scully character vid that just blew my mind (Consuela *really* needs to watch this), shalott's Witchblade vid and oh yeah. Destina's OT4 Stargate vid that just made me go, eeeeee!
Oh, and who was it who had the charming and oh-so-gay Smallville vid?
Dude, there were all oh-so-gay. You're probably thinking of Merry Lynne's "I Just Wanna Take You Home" that opened the premiere show, although the same description could be applied to this really adorable Clark/Lex vid in the Illustrating Relationship vidshow set to a Tracy Chapman song.
Oh, and this vidder I'd never heard of called Permetaform made a "The Ring" vid that had us all whimper in awe and fear. She put it up for download here if anyone wants to check it out. Warning: 1) it spoils the movie, ALL the way, and 2) it's fabulously creepy.
I can't remember a single thing we talked about.
I know we discussed whether or not the Tollans would share advanced sex toy technology. (I believe the decision was No.)
Katie can attest to how excited I was at the end of it--I was bouncing off my seat, yelling, "Oh my God! It was like they made the vid especially for me! Wheee!".
This is true. Of course, she was doing that as soon as she saw there even was a JoA vid, so... but I liked the vid too, and I very much want to see it again, because I didn't really start liking it until about a third of the way in. I cannot believe how much some people can pick up on one viewing. I'm lucky if I can decide whether or not I like a vid that fast.
The funny thing about the Joan vids is that the standout challenge vid was from The Ring, which included both Amber Tamblyn and kid-who-played-Rocky. It was all Noooooo, Joan! Don't watch the tape! God needs you to live!
Oh, and who was it who had the charming and oh-so-gay Smallville vid? Must find my program...
I Just Wanna Take You Home? The one that kicked off Premieres? That was Merry Lynne. (No, I don't remember that; the program's still in my bag.)
why couldn't it have been a Grace vid?
Yes. We agreed on this. Grace must have a vid.
although the same description could be applied to this really adorable Clark/Lex vid in the Illustrating Relationship vidshow set to a Tracy Chapman song.
This one. Merry's was cute, but "You're the One" (which I think was the title) charmed me. So gay! All the eyefucks! The interesting thing is that the same vidder had another Smallville vid in Premieres that really didn't work for me.
Heh. Go Katie and me on the massive X-post!
I know we discussed whether or not the Tollans would share advanced sex toy technology
Oh yeah. "Sam, you jeopardized our diplomatic relationship for a dildo!" ::snickers:: And we talked about Jack's hair. And I had quite a bit of beer. Beer and chocolate. Mmmmm'beer....
Of course, she was doing that as soon as she saw there even was a JoA vid, so...
This is very true. And when I saw *who* made the JoA vids, I just plotzed. Have I mentioned that "Haunted" is possibly my favorite vid ever?
Right now, I'm earwormed with "Big Red Boat" and you know what? It's fucking great!

Sounds loverly. What song did she use?
Also, Theo, where's your tag from?
