It's my estimation that... every man ever got a statue made of him, was one kind of sumbitch or another.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I don't want a stargate in my fridge, but I wouldn't mind one in my garage.

Now I'm picturing an "ice planet" with all these little teeny piles of people's freezer contents... talk about storage space!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Anyone seen The Jury ?

I just saw a commercial for their next ep, "guest starring the cast of OZ ." How bizarrely meta. I might just have to watch.

Can't Stop Watching is a frequent complaint with Sports Night.

I am sad that I have never managed to get Bunnies for it.

Because it is my Fallback Fandom. When all else fails, read Sports Night.

More people should write Sam/Dana. I asked for it for yuletide. Sigh.

They should. Because Sam and Dana were the bestest.

All is well that ends in pizza.

There is a "preview" for Stargate: Atlantis on suprnova. Did I miss something?

It doesn't look to be more than 1/2 hour at the encoding MB.

Huh. Well, next Monday they're doing a SG-1/Atlantis preview, which is supposed to be an hour long. Maybe someone got ahold of the Atlantis part early?

Thanks for the warning, Katie. Tivo doesn't know to record that yet.

Or... should I? I understand previous previews were spoilery as hell.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I understand previous previews were spoilery as hell.

I'll probably grab and watch later, like I do with all the movie specials.

This is why we buy the machinery, right? To indulge the insanity ...

This is my plan. But I'm not much with willpower. I mean, I can easily not go where spoilers are. But, if spoilers are sitting on a tape in my VCR ... well, that's more like them coming to me. They might as well be chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream in my freezer at that point.

But I'm going to try. Either way, I don't really get too bummed by accidental SG spoilage (See that? Laying the groundwork to cheat even now).

Depends on how spoiled you want to be, I suppose. Last year they had clips from the first four or so episodes, along with a clip from Heroes, but they had a whole hour to work with. The commercials only show one clip from a new episode, and that's a behind-the-scenes shot, but... tough to know.

I'd watch it and let you know, but I won't be back until Thursday, so you'd have to live with temptation.

So I watched Lost City Part 2 again last night. And something caught me that I didn't realize on the first round. Downloading the Ancients' database into Jack's brain gives him healing powers? The Hell?

That's just weird.

Oh, and the Sam angst was way over the top. Most annoying. Still, it was nice to see Kinsey get fired. I do hope they give the man an agenda other than power-hungry maniac, because his shtick is getting old.
