Oh yeah. The "What pretty eyes you have!" bit. Very ooky. Actually, I don't recall much from the Nebari episode. Huh. Is it possible I haven't seen it?
There was also needle-in-the-eye bits from S1. Where Zhann and the gang cut off pilot's arm?
Mayor ,'Lies My Parents Told Me'
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

The Nebari episode is the one where they attach the little mind-control chips to the eye nerves, and have to pull the eyes out to do it. Nasty.
Hey, did you see that Maayan destroyed the world again? Seven times. It's depressing, really. I'm so ready for a nice Stargate fluff challenge.
Huh. If that's the case, I haven't seen the Nebari episode (or was very sleepy while watching it), because that's something I don't think I'd forget.
Thanks to my crack DVD-purchase habit, I have the season 2 at home so I can check it out.
Hey, did you see that Maayan destroyed the world again?
Heh. Yeah. I've squirreled away the link so that I could read it after work today. Today is also the deadline for the "Day After Tomorrow" ficathon, so I expect I'll have a bunch of kick-ass end-of-world stories to read over the weekend. Wheee!
Yahtzee's Joan of Arcadia story was also good, though not, you know, happy.
I'm so ready for a nice Stargate fluff challenge.
So? Write some already.
Hey, how come nobody told me CGB wrote Stargate? I stumbled across her page the other day and spent a happy couple of hours reading. Good stuff, but CGB is always good.
Oh, sure. "Katie, don't elide the sex scene! Katie, go write fluff!" Hmpf. I'm gonna go read about Elishavah's apocalyptic moose again.
I'm being good, not reading fic at work, but I'm sorely tempted to read Yahtzee's JoA fic *right now*. So, so happy she's writing in the fandom, although most of her muse nowadays seems stay squarely in the Alias corner.
Hey, how come nobody told me CGB wrote Stargate?
We didn't? Damn. I love CGB's fic. Her 2010-based Daniel/Janet story is one of my favorites. She also happens to be the other reccer for SG in BSO--she reads more het and femslash than I do, so we're a good fit.
When it comes to SG het, Nanda, CGB and maybe Ness are pretty much the only writers who don't make me roll my eyes. Comparatively speaking, SG slashers are v. lucky.
Oh, sure. "Katie, don't elide the sex scene! Katie, go write fluff!" Hmpf.
Awww, I'm sorry. You should write what you like. I'll stop poking. And I'll think about fluff.

Ooh? Is this more of the Mooshie fic (which appears to becoming a multi-author phenomenon)?

Don't think I've read Ness yet. But you're right on the others. I think it's possible to make J/S work, but it takes some effort.
Hey, speaking of ships, what's the canonical support for Daniel being Jack's best friend? I've seen that a number of times in fic and yet I haven't seen it on the show yet.

No, no, it's okay. I'm bitching with a smile. But writing your own fluff just isn't as satisfying, somehow.
Ooh? Is this more of the Mooshie fic (which appears to becoming a multi-author phenomenon)?
Yes indeed. Also, the world is ending. We haven't really seen that bit, though. I think Eli's resisting the combination.

Er. Yeah. Well. I'd say for the first few seasons at least, the strongest emotional interactions really are between Jack and Daniel. So that's real. But this whole "they hang out all the time outside work, really!" thing doesn't have any textual support that I can think of.
I'm saving Maayan's new one for this weekend, when I can actually sit down and enjoy it. I may or may not write something for the Day After Tomorrow Challenge yet. I'm not sure. Anyone have a fandom suggestion?
