What you did to me was unbelievable, Connor. But then I got stuck in a hell dimension by my girlfriend one time for a hundred years, so three months under the ocean actually gave me perspective. Kind of a M.C. Escher perspective, but I did get time to think.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Awww, I'm sorry. You should write what you like. I'll stop poking. And I'll think about fluff.

No, no, it's okay. I'm bitching with a smile. But writing your own fluff just isn't as satisfying, somehow.

Ooh? Is this more of the Mooshie fic (which appears to becoming a multi-author phenomenon)?

Yes indeed. Also, the world is ending. We haven't really seen that bit, though. I think Eli's resisting the combination.

Hey, speaking of ships, what's the canonical support for Daniel being Jack's best friend? I've seen that a number of times in fic and yet I haven't seen it on the show yet.

Er. Yeah. Well. I'd say for the first few seasons at least, the strongest emotional interactions really are between Jack and Daniel. So that's real. But this whole "they hang out all the time outside work, really!" thing doesn't have any textual support that I can think of.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I'm saving Maayan's new one for this weekend, when I can actually sit down and enjoy it. I may or may not write something for the Day After Tomorrow Challenge yet. I'm not sure. Anyone have a fandom suggestion?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm gonna go read about Elishavah's apocalyptic moose again.

See, if you wanna write fluff, I think you should write a moose story. A non-apocalyptic one.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I think you should write a moose story
A funky moose. That would be heaven.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Daniel and Teal'c, now maybe.

Wait, and Jack hangs with Teal'c too, huh?

Slut.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Then nobody ever says, "Daniel's my best friend"? Okay.

Aha, and I caught up with Eli's mooshie. Very funny.

Jack does once refer to himself as Teal'c's best friend.

When? And then why doesn't he understand how incredibly deep he is?

In Threshold, the second episode of S5, and oh God I didn't even have to think about that. Anyway, it's when they're all trying to convince Teal'c that this whole "I have always been a servant of Apophis!" thing is kind of nuts.

Or, wait, it might be one of the other brainwashed Teal'c episodes. Anyway, it's one of those three.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Maybe somebody's sister could be bitten by a moose or something.
