Another thing I remember about that is that the actor had a twisted sense of humor, and invited his family and friends over to watch that particular episode.

He did not tell them or hint in any way that his character was being killed off.

Heh. The one time my aunt got to see my cousin film a scene in a movie (Beverly Hills Cop 3), he was shot by Eddie Murphy, pushed out of the getaway vehicle, and then run over by Murphy's car. (Okay, the last part was a dummy, but still.)

I'm still puzzling over that promo. Not that I'm ungrateful, mind you, but have I been such a hermit that I've missed footage of men in bed together going from a network executive's worst nightmare to a workable selling point for a show?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies
