Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Obviously you should write it, Vonnie.

I totally would, if my writing didn't suck and blow like the Mega Maid. (Not being coy here. I've tried a few times--no dice.)

Anyway, I've decided my fannish vocation is to pimp, not to write. Pimping takes a lot of work, you know. It's a fine line that divides the annoying & crazy from the infectiously enthusiastic.

Now, back to watching DS9...

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Just watched Smallville. Kinda disappointing.

But, screw Supes, I want to watch Lex's version. (Although they're digging a big ass whole on the whole how the Hell he doesn't make Clark Kent and Superman equal 4, at some point in Metropolis in the future).

Please can Lana leave now and not come back. Ok. 1 guest spot. But that's it.

It feels, to me, like there's some sort of weird canon-shuffle going on, with details of Lana and Pete and Chloe getting mixed, as well as those of Lex and Lionel. I'd like to believe that they're going to change outcomes to reflect that in some way, but I'm not optimistic.

I'm having a hard time accepting this. Anna started as a smart reccer/commenter, and now look at her.

Wow. I just finished S1 Farscape finale. What an amazing piece of work that was. And how glad am I that I only have to wait until the next DVD comes and not through a summer break. I was stunned -- stunned, I tell you -- by the Crais storyline. Not expecting any. of. it. Well, except at the end ... kinda had a feeling he'd be bogarting Talyn. And the conversation between Crais and Crichton was some fine, fine work. Many of the interactions were also brilliantly done. And the story had me, too. Damn. Now I'ma listen to the commentary. Just thought I'd share my happy.

Also? From the penultimate episode? Never have I heard a sexier (or sexy at all, really) delivery of the word photosynthesis. Perhaps I am strange for noticing that particular bit, but ... that Ben Browder can make anything sexy. Bless ya' Ben, bless ya'.

(I whitefonted only becasue I think there's someone else around here going through Farscape for the first time, too. I do realize the show's, you know, off the air and all.)

And edited for spelling. Thanks, DX.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Jen, it's spelled Talyn .

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Weren't it great? I just finished the first 2 discs of season 2.

I remember watching some of Season 1 on SciFi, and not getting hooked enough to keep up with it. As it turns out, I'm pretty sure the last one I saw was right before it got interesting. I'm also really excited about what I've heard is coming, because crackers. Don't. MATTER! t giggling fit

Although it does make me look at the talking critters on WF a bit differently. But, then again, I'm lateral like that. I can't take any use of the word "Champion" seriously, anymore. Everything gets tied together in my head.

Also, Claudia Black is so frelling cool.

Also, Claudia Black is so frelling cool.

Isn't she just? Love. Her.

I think I caught a few eps later on ... maybe S2 or S3, but I just couldn't quite follow. And then I stopped with cable, so ...

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

When I heard they were doing an Elektra movie, with Jennifer Garner as Elektra again, I realized that no way in hell were they going to do ELEKTRA ASSASSIN. And I started fantasy casting it, and I realized Browder would be a perfect for Garrett (just add cheesy mustache) and Claudia Black would be SUPERB as the older, deadlier, less human Elektra in that series.

Then I went off on a few tangents and imagined Keifer Sutherland as Perry (he's who I kept seeing when I was reading the comic).

sigh

Hollywood really should bend to my wishes.

I went on an incredible Stargate marathon yesterday, burning through a bunch of the episodes that had built up on the Tivo while my folks were visiting.

In conclusion: They do a lot of exposition on this show. Quiet!Jack is hot as hell ("The Fifth Race"). I like the consistency of how they've portrayed the Tok'Ra, as control-freaky people who really don't seem to have a clue about their purpose other than "beat the Goa'uld". The Jaffa turned rebel remarkably quickly, all things considered. Jacob/Selmac is much nicer than Jacob Carter was. Jonas Quinn is still boring (apologies to the Jonas apologists).

Dead!Daniel got about as much screen time as Live!Daniel did. Michael Shanks did a dead-on James Spader impersonation: it's almost seamless. I prefer show!Jack, he's much more engaging, but I suspect the movie I saw on cable was significantly edited -- weren't there scenes in the movie showing why Jack was willing to take a suicide mission? (Although Kurt Russell does have very blue eyes.)

I thought the show was inconsistent about how much of the host survives the goa'uld, but it looks more like the SGC learning more over time, rather than retcon. It could be retcon, but it's believable that what they learned in the beginning could be inaccurate.

How did Jolinar save Sam, though? I don't get it.

Christopher Judge did a nice mind-frell episode, but he's no Froon. Do all the cast members get to write or direct episodes?

And what the hell did they do to Sam's hair in S2? She looks like a Barbie doll. Also season 7 hair is scary, and she looks haggard. As does Jack, actually: was RDA sick, or did the picture in the attic get destroyed?
