And you're sure this isn't just some fanboy thing? 'Cause I've fought more than a couple pimply, overweight vamps that called themselves Lestat.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Bravo!

And the best part for me is, I only know the song because it was on Anne W.'s Buffista mix...

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Is it? Cool.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Hmm. Clearly I need to listen to this song...

Vonnie,, CKR's eps are in the first season of Nikita, which is out on DVD, so you could just rent that disc from Netflix.

Oh, good idea. I'll do that. Thanks!

Also, Vividcon! In only... four months! *bounce*

New vids! On big screen! And meeting a bunch of fannish friends! Wheee!

Art Crawl!!!

I just watched the Mutant X where Lexa's implants start causing mega-trouble. This is the first episode where I didn't find her completely annoying.

Also -- taped PW's 2nd Bliss -- fun!

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I am suddenly considering how that could have been a very different episode from the one I saw...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think that's next week ...

This week was kinda disappointing, since I was hoping for more Ho Yay. Still, it was a start.

Art Crawl!!!

Hmm, that sounds like it's the episode I'll get next week. (Having seen the promo.)

Dana, I just got Abyss in syndication -- did you catch it?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Looks like it's on tonight in half an hour. You're my hero.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I watched Abyss on DVD over the weekend. Aside from all the nice character bits, which I got a lot more this time around, I was struck anew at how incredible-looking the episode is. Both Baal's torure chamber and Jack's cell are just beautifully constructed, and the concept of the gravity-altering cell is fabulously executed. The beautiful yellow wall--I want to paint my kitchen that color when I get my own house--all suffused with light, then Daniel in his cream sweater and Jack with his dark brown top, forming a spectrum of light-to-darkness. The green of the arrows on the wall.

Plus, I really, really liked Baal. A goa'uld with a personality! His brand of evil manipulation had a sly sense of fun. I hope to see more of the guy.
