Religion isn't the cause of wars. It's the excuse. - Christopher Brookmyre

If L&O is Law and Order, we just had Kate show up as one of the lawyers down here. It does seem a little odd, my brain keeps going, okay, so she went to law school after the police force fired her, and soon Lindsey will show up and snark at her.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

If L&O is Law and Order,

It is.

we just had Kate show up as one of the lawyers down here.

Be warned - Elizabeth Rohm has earned the eternal scorn of L&O fans as the worst character ever. I haven't seen it, but she's supposed to be quantum levels worse than her performances on Angel.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Eh, she's okay. What's her bucket, the name with an S who does the Neutrogena commercials, was far more tolerable.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I don't know why everyone bags on Elizabeh Rohm so much. I like her.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I've heard people who liked her performance on Angel liken her to a cigar store Indian on L&O too... apparently Mutant Enemy had enough termites on set to keep her comparatively lively.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I liked her a lot on Angel, but she's been awful on L&O.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm with Matt and DX. She's eye-gougingly (wait, no, make that ear-) horrible on L&O.

I liked Kate.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Ditto with DX. The funny thing about east coast actors is that, if one of them ever worked for Tom Fontana, you'll see him again and again, usually in bigger and bigger roles. It's sort of silly, and sort of alarming, seeing a guy on Homicide -- erika, I love your tag -- and then on the prison show Oz, and then on one (or several) of the Law & Order shows...

Early L & O is awesome for guest stars. William H. Macy was in the pilot. I see my old soap stars on those shows all the time, even now.

(But I have to say, it is sort of funny when regional-accented actos show up in TV shows set in different cities. At one point, Boomtown had Gary Basaraba -- New York -- and John Frank Hughes -- waaaay Philadelphia -- on the show at the same time, as Los Angeles cops. I mean, I know lots of people move to Los Angeles, but it was just funny. Thank goodness Donnie Wahlberg dropped the Bawston talk.)

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Law & Order's not Fontana though, is it? Or is he partenered with Dick Wolf too?

Which is really just some actor getting jobs.

Nope, not a remotely porny statement at all.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I think none of the L & Os are Tom Fontana, but Oz and SVU share (shared) soem writers and a couple of producers. So lessee -- I think 5 Oz actors and one directly from Homicide have shown up on SVU; of those, two are contract (Chris Meloni and Munch) and one (B.D. Wong) is a regular visitor. Also, Dr. Skoda on L&O Classic.

It's like a festering love nest of synergy, I swear. I think except for Sex and the City, I have never seen the guy who played Ryan O'Reilly in anything but a Tom Fontana and/or L&O show.
