Spike: At least give me Wesley's office since he's gone. Angel: He's not gone. He's on a leave of absence. Spike: Yeah, right. Boo-hoo. Thought he killed his bloody father. Try staking your mother when she's coming on to you! Harmony: Well…that explains a lot.

Pam S., at Versaphile. "Dead" is really funny too.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I adore vids, but weirdly enough, I haven't seen that many from SG fandom that liked. Most of S/J and D/J vids I've seen are either 1) really grainy, 2) too schmoopy, or 3) set to generic top-50 chart songs I don't really care for. I love Barkley's stuff though, especially her Teal'c vid. And of course, Stargate Cantina, which is effing hilarious.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Get Off is making me tear up with suppressed laughter. I've been trying to get through it for fifteen minutes.

What's the name of the SG guy, the brown-haired one who's pretty nice, and who has a lovely section with Daniel in Get Off?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Er, just guessing, since I don't download vids at work: Major Davis? Maybe?

Yes -- Major Davis. Thanks. What is his deal, anyway? I do remember bumping into a Davis/Daniel site and feeling really bad since I'd never thought enough of him to bother slashing him.

A great thing about Get Off? No S/D.

Don't ask me. He gets more play than Teal'c does, and while I'm fond of the guy, there's not a whole lot of there there when it comes to wanting to see him in fanfic. (Exception made for Dr. Jackson's Diary...)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Fandom tends to do that, though. Pick up on characters. Look at all the Devon fic out there. I couldn't pick Devon out of a lineup of minor BtVS characters.

Vonnie, I agree. I've got a folder full of them, but most of them I probably wouldn't watch again.

ita, I did that too. My favorite has to be the clip from "Absolute Power" to "Now move your big ass 'round this way So I can work on that zipper, baby". Talk about out of context.

(Apparently, Prince has a song called "Get Off" as well as the aforementioned song, called "Gett Off". Confusing when you're trying to track down the right lyrics.)

Major Davis -- well, he is in a bunch of episodes. And he has a sort of surprising number of scenes with Daniel, and there's the whole Jack-and-Teal'c-on-the-sub scene where they're clearly sharing the tension. Or at least, Davis is sharing. Daniel is just tense. And then, for god knows what reason, Davis holds off on giving the order to blow the sub waiting for Daniel to decide, which I'm pretty sure isn't the way the Air Force usually runs things. "Sir, we have to push the button." "I know, but we can't do anything until the civilian consultant on ancient cultures and languages gives the word!"

Yes! I got to "big ass" and had to stop and cool myself down. Took me three tries to get through that one line.

I'm realising this, but only in hindsight. I'd feel bad for him, but he has at least one pretty slash site, so he doesn't need me, and I can go back to Jack (the Little Black Dress of Stargate vid was great -- all fandoms should have at least one of those vids. Do they?)
