It's a remora, dimwit.

Yeah, but the rate of recycle is slower in LA and NY, or it seems to be because those actors do a variety of jobs - they're not all with the same production company or same genre of TV show.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

LA's a bigger market, and NY can get people to travel to it. Still, L&O is a hotbed of re-use all by itself.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Still, L&O is a hotbed of re-use all by itself.

I really noticed it with the HBO shows which were mostly produced in NYC. Same actors on Oz and Sopranos and SATC and (inevitably) L&O.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

L&O used to do a great job employing Off-Broadway actors with real regional accents, but that was when they actually had episodes where the plotlines showcased less-than-upperclass characters.

Religion isn't the cause of wars. It's the excuse. - Christopher Brookmyre

If L&O is Law and Order, we just had Kate show up as one of the lawyers down here. It does seem a little odd, my brain keeps going, okay, so she went to law school after the police force fired her, and soon Lindsey will show up and snark at her.

If L&O is Law and Order,

It is.

we just had Kate show up as one of the lawyers down here.

Be warned - Elizabeth Rohm has earned the eternal scorn of L&O fans as the worst character ever. I haven't seen it, but she's supposed to be quantum levels worse than her performances on Angel.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Eh, she's okay. What's her bucket, the name with an S who does the Neutrogena commercials, was far more tolerable.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I don't know why everyone bags on Elizabeh Rohm so much. I like her.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I've heard people who liked her performance on Angel liken her to a cigar store Indian on L&O too... apparently Mutant Enemy had enough termites on set to keep her comparatively lively.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I liked her a lot on Angel, but she's been awful on L&O.
