Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

SEAN! Your tag! I was *crying* at how funny ATHF was last night!

I know. It was killing me. I love ATHF so much. Sealab was hysterical in a sick and wrong way, too.

You know, that can actually be done in a funny way.

Fair point. I think with SotB, it was because it was the whole embarassment humor thing that's so popular, and so hard for most of us to watch.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'll confess to having watched a couple of episodes early on, out of curiousity about Jamie Bergman and to ogle Roland Kickinger. But I left just feeling sad that the poor woman who plays the female lead can't get better work somewhere else.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Tonight's Stargate lineup is like a Best of Daniels feature. Well, okay, not really. But "There But for the Grace of God", which is our first view of an alternate reality and features General Jack, and later "Meridian" (or, as I call it, "That one where Daniel died that time he stayed dead for a while"). And "Menace", featuring the really horrifically stupid argument about artificial beings having rights and Jack saying something really mean!

The Gloops? That was one of the first Sealabs I ever saw.

Okay, so I see SotB is to be avoided. Good thing I asked.

That one where Daniel died that time he stayed dead for a while

Oh, goodie. Been waiting for this one.

But, damn, it's climbing night. Well, I'll have the Tivo save them.

Hey. New board.

Are there actual rules to what TV shows get discussed in here? Or can any show be brought up and discussed, in whitefont?

I ask, because I don't actually watch ANY of the shows in the title (yet - Farscape is on my netflix queue) but I do watch, y'know, other TV.

Not really. Although it'd be gauche to discuss ME shows here. Otherwise, it's pretty much fair game.

Kinda figured that much. =)

Now, when I get an urge to discuss early Six Feet Under eps, or My So Called Life, or Arrested Development (so funny...), or Joan of Arcadia (and i get these urges fairly regularly) I know where to go. =)

Although, actually, I should make a disclaimer -- I didn't take part in the somewhat-heated (I hear) discussions which resulted in this thread's taking the place of separate threads. It may well be that there are rules and I just don't know them. That happens to me a lot. But I probably shouldn't be offering advice.
