Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I'd add Dark Knight Returns.

Thrive to spite them

Added.

I kept thinking that I should save the money I was spending and use it for the F2F, and then I justified it with "Well, this will give me something else to talk about at the f2f."

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Year One of Batman. Batgirl, and Robin; Robin: A Hero Reborn, Batman Dark Victory, and the Killing Joke.

I'm actually rather pleased with myself-- I only have the Year Ones for Babs and Dick left, and Robin:A Hero Reborn. Go team me! Also, go team my friend Creepy Steve, who despite being creepy is a good friend to have because he owns every TPB EVER.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Was that when Hewitt Wolfe got fired?

Yeah, smack in the middle of season 2, I believe. His last episode was Ourbourous. However you spell it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Then I feel even more pain for Zack, Ashley, and Keith.

Yowza.

I wonder if Sorbo notices his arcs are actually incomprehensible now, as opposed to interesting before.

Do you think Sorbo notices ANYTHING other than his reflection and possibly shiny objects being waved in his vicinity?

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I'm watching "Redemption 2" for the first time right now, and I *loved* that conversation between Carter and McKay in the infirmary. I know he can be a prick, but that piano confession was just the right mixture of the bizarre, the dorkalicious, and kinda sorta adorable. The fact that Carter was both creeped out and rolling her eyes in disbelief for the entire conversation? Totally a plus.

I'm now psyched that McKay is gonna be in Atlantis. Neat-o.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

You *must* get Batgirl: Year One.

I still don't have the Robin: Year One TPB. But I have reasons for that, involving my random stack of comics.

A Hero Reborn, were it titled like an episode of Friends, would be known as "The one with the gay teen stalker." Honest. I was trying to explain it at dinner tonight.

Redemption is what season, Vonnie?

What's the scoop on Stargate: Aquarium, anyway? (sorry, I saw that online and loved it too much not to use it.) Does it look promising?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Redemption is what season, Vonnie?

I'm not Vonnie, but I can answer. Season 6 opener.
