"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

They were pissed at him for being strong, determined and beautiful.

The key point being that someone else possessing those virtues pointed out their lesser presence or absence altogether in Dylan.

Oh, no hurt feelings, Hec. Completely reasonable points

ITA. Also, I hope it was obvious that this

Bring it on, Hec ...

was in good fun ... you know, fake fighter feint.

Topical: I saw the pilot and next episode that is on the S1 Farscape Disc 1. Preaching to the choir, I know, but Ben Browder could not possibly be more adorable. Even if he tried really, really hard. I loved the way he played the wonder of "Holy crap. Definitely not Kansas. Holy crap. Aliens. Dude, I'm on another planet ... cool ... oh, right, holy crap, vengeful space police." Commentaries are entertaining, too. 'S all I got for now.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The key point being that someone else possessing those virtues pointed out their lesser presence or absence altogether in Dylan.

Which is why I'm so surprised they got away with The Unconquerable Man. Even though there were certain plot requirements, Bakic was much better then than he has been as chief buttlicker this season.

No, not more adorable, but he gets hella sexier when the leather pants arrive. IJS.

Sounds like you're gonna like it, JenP. Keep us posted, and we'll try not to spoil you (too much).

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Tim, Tim, Tim. Dick Dick Dick. Bruce. Clark! Wally! Kon! Bart!

I'd just like to point out that this has been my own personal interior monolouge for... uh, quite some time now, actually.

Damned sexy superheoes, with their severe psychological problems and tight spandex.

Thrive to spite them

I've been tempted for a bit to find out more about the Bat Family, and after getting some suggestions from Ple I took the dive and bought the past few issues of Batgirl and a Batgirl graphic novel.

Even though I'm intrigued by Batman I didn't buy anything Batman. That's going to have to wait until sometime in the future, although when I discovered the various graphic novels on amazon.com, it maybe sooner than I thought.

Now I just have to stick a post it on the tv to remind me when to watch Justice League and the Teen Titans.

This heart ain't gonna cut itself out

Well, obviously I need to check out this Tim person if he warrants all of these exclamations.

I have so much to do to catch up...

Any particular novelizations that you're looking at, askye?

Ple gave me a list of must reads last night--Year One of Batman. Batgirl, and Robin; Robin: A Hero Reborn, Batman Dark Victory, and the Killing Joke. So those are the ones I'm going to be looking at first.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I'd add Dark Knight Returns.

Added.

I kept thinking that I should save the money I was spending and use it for the F2F, and then I justified it with "Well, this will give me something else to talk about at the f2f."
