I just think it's rather odd that a nation that prides itself on its virility should feel compelled to strap on forty pounds of protective gear just in order to play rugby.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

each DC character had to have a distinguishing power

(Looks at mental notes, and realizes that The Sexy is probably not what they're all thinking about for Dick's.)

(Remembers belatedly the flexibility and acrobatic skill.)

(Decides these are all part and parcel of sexy-comma-the.)

You know, being Batfamily fixated really warps a gal's DC perspective.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

at least he's not plastic man

No kidding.

Okay, when did Tyr become chief stud in the Nietzschean Empire?

Okay, when did Tyr become chief stud in the Nietzschean Empire?

Not sure, because I haven't watched this in a couple of seasons at least, (but all I gotta say is Rrrraaawwwwwrrr. I miss the hair, but it's still all so good) so I have no clue what's going on. But, pretty, starry light show happening right about now.

ETA: Bring it on, Hec ...

ETAA: Krycek. Cool.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Trust me, IT'S NOT WORTH IT.

Only for a moment, on a whaddayacall - viewscreen - on Andromeda.

ETA: Or, what ita said.

Okay. I won't go there.

I keep seeing the Andromeda commercials, and I see the pretty people and the costumes and the explosions, and it looks okay, and then the voiceover says, "But one man will be their hero..." and it's Kevin Frelling Sorbo, and I hit fast-forward. Bleah.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I watched about 20 minutes of Hercules today. I refuse to be ashamed of liking Iolaus and Ares.

Sorbo, though, makes me wish they'd dumped him and just turned the show into "The Wacky Sidekicks of Hercules, Immortal and Otherwise."

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Trust me, IT'S NOT WORTH IT.

So very, very true. Though KHC's Tyr is almost worth it, early on. And the Screw You, Sorbo! clip show is very funny, on a meta level.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The show had promise. And the Screw You! clip show is just a really great clip show, before you even get into the meta (the whole publicly disgruntled writers thing).
