Woe to the fucking wicked.

Vandal (sticking with my nick-naming instinct. I think it's genetic)

I share the Lana-hate, but I was going by the Chloe's not canon, and, in theory (and assuming she isn't Lois), we're heading toward some version of or variation on canon.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

You know, I've always liked the idea that Chloe took Lois Lane as her pen name.

All is well that ends in pizza.

If It turns out to be Chloe is Lois, It'll make some Chloe/Clark fans happier.

And why not a blonde Lois Lane? They already have a non-redhead as Lana.

(Still sitting in the Lana should have red hair corner, I guess. It's pretty lonely)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Maybe they felt two out of three principal cast members would be too much? Lord knows, I'd rather Annette O'Toole get the one redhead slot than hope that whoever they got for Lana would make up for the lack.

I love Annette O'Toole. Did anyone watch her TNT show The Huntress? I liked that show a whole lot. The strength of O'Toole was what brought me to Smallville. Well, that and the buzz everyone I knew had about it.

Strawberry disappointment.

Lana is achingly dull. It's like there's a Lana shaped hole in the world.

And why have DMD before LGM? That makes about as much sense as having a fabulously written show about horses and space ships, then not airing the pilot, showing the other episodes out of order, pre-empting them for sports and not advertising it.

This heart ain't gonna cut itself out

You know, I've always liked the idea that Chloe took Lois Lane as her pen name.

I love this idea. It's true that Chloe is expendable because she isn't canon. I'd hate to lose her, but I'd definitely be into a storyline where something happens to her and Clark blames Lex and it all spirals downward from there.

Why is Lana so mindnumbingly dull? Why would they do that? I swear, coming to this show as a new viewer this year, it is the one aspect that I just can't get over. I guess they must think she's actually interesting? As far as I've seen, the only thing that matters to anyone about Lana is who her boyfriend is at the moment.

Oh - or what guy is stalking her at the moment. Forgot about all the stalking.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'd like it if Lois weren't Chloe.

For me, it ruins the bits of their Metropolis interaction that I'd liked -- the city girl/"hick" thing. I can't see Chloe falling for Superman to Clark's detriment either.

I have a plan.

I'm with Ita on the Lois-not-Chloe thing. Though I'm something of a stickler for canon, so I'm also with DCJ in the Lana = redhead corner too.

That being said, I'm not sure why I watch the show.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Though I'm something of a stickler for canon, so I'm also with DCJ in the Lana = redhead corner too.

See, in my canon, Lana is played by Annette O'Toole.
