'Lineage'

Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

It was meant to fly in space!

You know, that didnt' bother me. I figured the plan was to land on Earth after the experiment. What got me was the helmet that served no earthly purpose. Why wouldn't he have a full space suit on?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Well, okay, if he was going to re-enter in that thing at least that makes some sense of the "see you tonight" thing. (The Shuttle does not do one-day missions! ...I'm okay now.)

Yeah, the helmet was deeply silly. Either go full-on with the suit or just admit that if something happens you're dead and ignore the issue, but there is just no need to dress up like Speed Racer.

All is well that ends in pizza.

True. The refueling and checkout alone...much less the rollout, better stay up there and make it worthwhile.

Farscape 1 was not big like a shuttle, so I'd go with a whole "enterprise" test scenario. It was a much smaller craft that was carried there for space testing and then landing testing.

Also? Farscape apparently takes place at least 20 minutes into the future. Maybe quick missions are...Okay, never mind.

Quick and NASA...not likely.

OTOH? LASA might be different....

I thought it was IASA?

Well, you know, unless it's just for fun. Go, Speed Racer, go.

Stargate Aquarium

Heh, heh. Also -- earwormed now.

Hmmm ... that's all I got. Oh, no wait. I was thinking last night when I saw the coming in July stuff for Stargate The Regular -- is any of the July promo footage they show new footage? Anyone know? There was a Teal'c thing I didn't recognize, but I missed some of the the earlier eps. Just curious.

So I mistyped...I think.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Huh. My local UPN channel is playing "Redemption Part 1", and I don't think I've ever seen this episode.

Jonas is so eager and squeaky-clean. They shoulda given him some flaws. The long time fans must have hated him. The poor guy.

"Hammond is insisting that SG-1 needs a sociopolitical nerd to offset our overwhelming coolness." Heh.

Wow, I just watched Abyss for the first time. So much pure Jack and Daniel time; I'm still sort of reeling. I like the way they played it. I didn't think it got too maudlin, and it could have. Poor Jack. Stupidhead Ba'al - about wanted to kick his ass. Does he reappear?

Jonas is so eager and squeaky-clean. They shoulda given him some flaws.

Huh. Good point. I think by the time I knew MS had left, he was already back (I missed a lot of S6 due to no cable and just losing track in syndication plus, OK, don't really follow the fandom). I like Jonas well enough, but I might have been kind of meh if I'd had to deal in real time.
