Wesley: Hey. Hey, Gunn. Is something weird going on? … Charles, you just peed on my shoes. Gunn: I'll be damned. That's weird.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

No, the other one. Overlaps with WarriorPoet, though.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'd thought he was quite the WarriorPoet, having rejected the traditions of his people, living outcast, but trying to teach them the truth.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Very nearly spewed Irish Breakfast all over my keyboard at that. Too frelling funny.

I'd actually never realized how funny it was until I wrote it down like that, but yeah, seriously. I'm just imagining him telling the story like that now, and it's cracking me up. "My parents were crushed by a museum display." "Ha! You're funny... you're serious? Oh. Um."

I'd thought he was quite the WarriorPoet, having rejected the traditions of his people, living outcast, but trying to teach them the truth.

I'm telling you, after the Stargate program goes public Teal'c will be compared to Harriet Tubman. Also at least one media outlet will refer to him as "African-American."

Bwah!

Next up -- NAACP Image award.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I have mad crush on Jack except when he is being an unfunny moron (the most egregious example being during the season 7 opening two-parter. Very cringe-worthy.) I find Daniel interesting and hella pretty, and also a "whiny bitch" as MS puts it. I love that Sam loves both building & solving things and blowing shit up. Teal'c is just Teal'c, which is a class on its own.

My Jack-love is surprisingly unselfish. I don't want him for myself; I want him to be with his team, his "kids". The team part is important--I don't want him to be an item with Carter to the detriment of his relationships with Daniel and Teal'c. Ditto Jack/Daniel with Carter and Teal'c being excluded. I just like them all together, and not particularly in a polyamorous way. The four of them kicking it back with a beer like we saw in "Lost City part 1" or gathered around a fire in one of their missions or goofing around in Daniel's lab makes me happy enough. I'm a total sap when it comes to the team.

Yes. Although I'd also take him for myself.

He's a great leader, sentimentally pragmatic. It's like he shaves with Occam's razor, and uses fairy dust for aftershave.

I love in Rite Of Passage where Cassandra assures Sam that Jack is brighter than he likes to act. I wish I could remember Sam's reaction. I can see her not having processed that.

Oh, God. I so want to see that.

Yes! With the warm, fuzzy love! Damn RDA for wanting to be an involved parent, anyway.

Yes. Although I'd also take him for myself.

See, I think any love-interest he may have will take the fourth place in his heart after his kids. Which is how I like things on the show, but not if I were the love interest in question.

Yes! With the warm, fuzzy love!

Exactly. I can't get over how unusual this is for me, because I usually abhor the warm'n'fuzzy.

I like it best in rare occasions when Jack gets to hug people. He gives the warmest, the most generous hugs I've seen any TV character give. I melt into a puddle every time he does it, no matter who the hugee may be (even Laira). It's a thing.

I'm damaged enough to not mind in theory. In fact, that's another thing that makes him more attractive to me than Daniel.

God, yes. The clip show episode where they've been frozen? He gives an amazing hug to Sam where you can tell he's receiving and giving solace with equal intensity and commitment.

::melts into a puddle of goo::

OK, I have to watch this scene right now. Thankfully, I can, through the miracle of DVDs. Woo-hoo!

That hug in... "Into the Fires" I think, is probably my favorite, up there with the one Jack gives Daniel in season 2 opener ("Space monkey!". Aw.)

Uh, I'm not sounding like those scary people in that salon article, aren't I? t /worried
