Gunn: Well, how horrible is this thing? Lorne: I haven't read the Book of Revelations lately, but if I was searching for adjectives, I'd probably start there.

'Hell Bound'

Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Damn. I'd forgotten I'd cancelled last night's Scrubs in favor of Century City. Now I'm even more bitter.

Ita, I stopped watching near where you stopped (and watched that Jessica Stein movie), so I don't know how the ep ended. All I know is that there was some kind of singing at the end and that Martouf died.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

and that Martouf died.

Man, he can't catch a break.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The actor's character was the first to die in the freaky glass house in Thirteen Ghosts too, wasn't he?

Art Crawl!!!

There was the story of the band from the 80s who were suing their lead singer because he hadn't kept up his appearance.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

D'oh. Martouf.

I'm just obsessed with the cloning thing, for some reason.

Dumb show.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

The reaction of the SG fans on LJ this morning was funny.

"Martouf was there. But as usual, he died."
"Well, you know. It's Martouf. He would die. Poor Martouf."

It was also brought to my attention that the blond genetically-engineered associate was played by the actress who was the kick-ass goth-girl from the S5 The X-Files episode, "Kill Switch". Man, I love that episode.

t hums "Twilight Time" under the breath

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

It's sweet that everyone likes Martouf, because man, if there was ever a character who did not conform to the fannish "be snarky and cynical, dammit!" credo it's Marty. So earnest and dorky! Poor guy.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Last night's Scrubs was written by a college classmate of mine.

It cracks me up that everytime we start talking about the character, it invariably ends up with "Poor Martouf!". Sad-sack, pine-y Martouf with his goofy smile and wooden-pole demeanor. Poor guy. (See?)

Yeah, but he's got a great smile.
