Mr. Fantastic -- that's a brainiac. Batman, all sorts of mad skills.
But there are tons of heroes and villains who don't possess a fraction of Superman's skills and get along just fine with a mostly average IQ.

I just thought this instantiation of it made no sense.
I thought there were meteor rocks in the puddle the telephone pole collapsed into, which of course explain everything.
The place where I thought a character was being stupid was when Lana came out of the house into the rain to see Adam. She should have dialed 911 and stayed put. (Yeah, Chloe and Jonathan were in danger -- but when aren't they?)
And I never thought of Clark or Superman as being especially smart, but I really don't know comics canon at all.

Parker's a total brainiac (heh), one of the [many] things that made Tobey McSquid so unbelievable for me, but on a human scale. I think Supes is supposed to be inhumanly smart, something that Tom Welling is struggling to portray to us with the writing he is working with.

Has the show ever even commented on Clark's grades? I agree that the actor doesn't come across as very intelligent, but I wonder if they're trying and failing or if it's just not on their radar screen, what with the really cool inner ear shots to show us.
